AED Psychotherapy

Giving an established psychotherapy practice a fresh, welcoming digital presence — without starting from scratch.

Website Redesign · Squarespace Development · Website Structure · Visual Design · Copy Refinement · Mobile Optimisation

The Challenge

Amy Elkins Dickerson had an established psychotherapy practice supporting children, teenagers and families, but her website no longer reflected the quality or character of her work. Originally built by Amy herself in Squarespace, the site needed a refresh to feel more polished, welcoming and easier to navigate.

This wasn't a project that called for an entirely new brand. Instead, the opportunity was to make better use of what Amy already had, refining the presentation and creating a more confident digital presence.

A Thoughtful Refresh

We rebuilt the website in Squarespace 7.1, updating the layout, typography, spacing and overall visual presentation. Particular attention was given to the homepage, creating a clearer introduction to Amy's expertise and helping visitors understand the support available for children, teenagers and parents.

We also refined the navigation, strengthened calls to action and made light edits to the existing copy, improving clarity and flow while preserving Amy's own voice. The design incorporated photography by HDD Media, bringing a personal, authentic quality to the site and helping communicate the warmth of Amy's approach.

The Result

The refreshed website offers a clearer, more welcoming introduction to AED Psychotherapy, with an improved user experience across desktop and mobile. It's an example of how thoughtful changes to design, structure and messaging can make a substantial difference without requiring a complete rebrand.

For an established business, I find sometimes the most effective approach isn't necessarily to start again, it's to look at what's already working and give it some attention and a good overhaul!

What the client said:

“Sarah exceeded all expectations! From the start, she worked hard to help me make my vision a reality. Her technical skill was matched by her creativity. It was a sheer pleasure to collaborate with her on my new, refreshed, amazing website!”
